An ecologically healthy and diverse Patagonian Sea, meeting the needs and aspirations of people, whilst maintaining one of the world’s greatest wildlife spectacles and most productive marine ecosystems, through a genuine partnership amongst all interested sectors.

Furthermore, we acknowledge the fact that ecological processes and marine species transcend political borders. We aim to work from our organizations to provide solutions and create opportunities without prejudice for the government positions regarding sovereignty issues for the region.

The organizations that are part of the Forum for the Conservation of the Patagonian Sea and Areas of Influence, sharing the vision of the Colonia Declaration of March 2005, and after establishing the governance structure, Steering Group and Working Groups of the Forum,

… Emphasize their concerns in regards to the sustainability and viability of the Patagonian Sea ecosystem;

... Express their desire to collaborate in the design of a transparent and participative model for the sustainable management of biodiversity, in a framework of precautionary ecosystem approaches to integrated management, and

… Communicate, in this regard, their interest to promote, generate and support processes and decisions directed to the implementation of these objectives in public policies applicable to the Patagonian Sea.
